Independent Non-Executive Director

Yedwa has extensive experience in the financial services and retirement fund industries. Prior to joining the TEBA board in September 2016, Yedwa was the Executive Vice President Stakeholder Relations and Marketing at AngloGold Ashanti. She is the chairman of the TEBA Employee Trust.

Tsepo Motlatsi
Tsepo Motlatsi

Tsepo started working as an entry level engineer in the mining industry after graduating from college and, through the years, he has progressed to Project Manager at Anglo American Platinum. He was appointed to the TEBA board in September 2016 and is the chairman of the Social and Ethics Committee.

Stewart Truswell

Independent Non-Executive Director

Prior to joining the TEBA board in June 2014, Stewart advised TEBA on various legal, financial and strategic issues. He is currently an executive director of Dawnstar Capital (Pty) Ltd, holds other non-executive directorships, and is a member of the South African Institute of Stockbrokers. He is the chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee and serves on the board of the TEBA Employee Trust.

James Motlatsi

Non-Executive Director and Chairman

James was educated in Lesotho and worked in the mining industry from 1970 to 1987. In 2002 he was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy in Social Science by the National University of Lesotho. James was the founder member of the NUM in December 1982. He was appointed to the board of TEBA in December 2000 and in November 2005, bought TEBA from the mining industry. James holds directorships on a number of boards, including Shanduka Group, Verimark and Platfields and was appointed Chancellor of Lesotho College of Education.

David Ngobeni
David Ngobeni

Independent Non-Executive Director

David joined the TEBA board in June 2017 and is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee. He is the founder and CEO of Alpha Investment Group. He was previously the Chief Investment Officer and Executive Director of The Shanduka Group and sits on a number of company boards, including McDonalds South Africa.

Graham Herbert
Graham Herbert

Managing Director

Graham has a B.Sc and M.B.Ch.B degree from the University of Cape Town, was awarded a research fellowship to Cambridge University, and attended the AMP at Harvard Business School. He completed his medical internship at an Anglo-American mine hospital and then joined their management trainee programme for three years. He worked for AngloGold Ashanti for five years, and in 2000, was deployed to TEBA. He was appointed to the board and as Managing Director in January 2001 and is a member of the Social and Ethics Committee.
